You have been in the US for 5 years, but we are more interested in where you are from? What is it like where you grew up?I’m from Kazakhstan which is located in Central Asia, right under Russia. Growing up I was influenced by Russian culture since our country was part of Soviet Union and my parents were from that era as well. I grew up in a middle class family of immigrant parents, because my mom and dad are from Uzbekistan originally and we immigrated when I was 5 or 6 years old. During my childhood, I saw my parents work hard to raise us and to get a place under the sun which gave me a strong foundation to be independent from the start. I think they did pretty well for themselves.I spent almost all of my life in my small village called Berlik and when I finally graduated high school, I moved to the “Big Apple” which is my city - Almaty. Fun fact, my city Almaty (Alma-Ata) has been named after an “Apple” and everyone calls it the “Apple city” and ironically I ended up in another BIG APPLE - NYC.The city was 35/40 min away from my parent’s house so it wasn’t a big move, but beginning of a Big New Chapter for me. I lived in the city for 4 years and attend a law school , it was the best adulting years of my life . During my student years I started modeling and visited United States for the first time with the “Work & Travel” program. After I graduated I did not became a Lawyer as you clearly see, but now I see how life prepared me for the next steps which are living in the US and being a full-time model. What do you love about Modeling?I love modeling because it gives me the lifestyle I needed : #1 Always being in good shape. Since I love investing in my physical health and assets, I’m always interested in taking care of my body, my skin, my beauty and appeal, especially for women I think it's important to be in that mindset to feel confident and comfortable in your skin. # 2 Unique business style: Always working with new people and in new places, traveling is one of my favorite activities and I’m blessed to have it as part of my job. Modeling is a sort of an entrepreneurship and not a regular 9-5 office job (which I don’t have anything against), it always encourages me to think how I can expand my career and work with bigger and better clients.#3. Modeling allows me to be surrounded by fashion and beauty items , and for me it’s an absolute pleasure. Since I didn’t have this luxury growing up, wearing my sister’s cloths and not having access to fashion at any given time. Now I get to wear new clothes and shoes everyday and get paid for that, which sounds unbelievable to me. This feeling of excitement always makes me go back on set in no time! And this campaign with “INTENTIONALLY BLANK” was no exception! I was really excited to shoot since day one. And I was excited to try the cool shoes since I’ve looked at the website and socials a week before the shoot. I was thrilled to combine my 2 obsessions - shoes and traveling, which made this photoshoot one of my favorites so far! What do you find is challenging about modeling, the industry or the work in general?Of course life of a model comes with its limitations and struggles and it isn’t a “glitz & glam” all the time unfortunately. I’d say #1 challenge is that the industry is very competitive, especially in a big city like NYC where there’s models from all around the world. #2 is the payment schedules with agencies/clients, sometimes it’s frustrating to wait for your payment from the last shoot for about 3 months. I hope this can be fixed and allow models to do modeling full-time, which is not the case for the most. However, in my case I’ve had a great break through during the NYFW and I’ve been surrounded by the right people, which I’m very grateful for.

What do you love about living in NYC?I love how the city offers opportunities and connects like minded people. I moved to NYC during covid and I’m very proud of this bold move. Since the city was completely shut down but I still managed to squeeze opportunities that allowed me to follow my dreams and even build new friendships when times were hard. NYC is probably the only place I see myself living at this time and even after being here for 4 years it still feels like my life is just getting started. So I love NYC for never getting old.Where will we see you in five years? In 5 years I see myself still Modeling and Traveling the world for Fashion Weeks and Major Campaigns, also managing my own businesses in social media platforms and growing my personal brand by making fortune by doing what I love. And still being based in NYC and living in Tribeca, Soho or West Village in a luxury apartment. Hopefully engaged or married to love of my life.We know you love travel, what is your favorite spot you have been, and what is on your list! There’s lots of memories from all the beautiful places I’ve visited, but one that stands out was my trip on a motorcycle to Switzerland where I traveled from Italy - Lake Como through the town of Bellagio to the Swiss Alps to catch the sunset. Also from my latest, drive through the PSH with the convertible car and beautiful views from the beach and mountains, and a quick 2 day stay at the beautiful town - Carmel by the Sea, the most romantic trip so far on my list. For the future list, I’d wanna visit Caribbean islands like St.Bartz , since I’ve never seen such an exotic scenes growing up in 4 seasonal continents. Perhaps the closest place to this was Miami Beach which is actually my second base since I am signed with Elite Model Management down there. Overall, I’m always open to exploring new neighborhoods, cities and countries and I think life is always exciting when you can have a change of the scenery but also have a home base that you enjoy.😊
